Updates!

It was so nice to see so many of you at parent-teacher conferences. I look forward to meeting with many of you this week.  Here is a peek into our week in 4T.

Math- We spent the week continuing to practice long division.  We learned the importance of interpreting remainders correctly depending on the problem.  We will learn about angles and customary units of weight this week.

Science- We wrapped up our unit on electricity this week. We learned that engineers are making playground equipment that uses kinetic energy to make light for children in countries around the world! We also learned about conductors and insulators.

Reading- We finished researching the Industrial Revolution. We also finished our read aloud, "Wonder."  We learned so much about the importance of kindness and acceptance through our classroom discussions.

Writing- We are continuing to work on our Industrial Revolution books. We wrote introductions and conclusions to each chapter. We also began to use Story Jumper to make our informational books.

We had a Mystery Skype with a class in Minnesota. We learned that students go outside for recess everyday unless the temperature is under -10 degrees! We were shocked!

This Wednesday we will have a half-day for parent teacher conferences.
