Welcome Back!

It's hard to believe that we only have seven more weeks of school! I hope you all had a wonderful April vacation. I traveled to Mexico for the first time and it went by far too fast!  I am looking forward to spring weather that will hopefully be heading our way in New Hampshire.

We had a great trip to Lowell. The kids were able to showcase how much they learned about the Industrial Revolution.  Sadly, I lost all of the pictures from the trip when I updated my phone, but the chaperones were able to send me some to share with you.

We have been having so much fun learning about plants. We've studied seed dispersal, plant growth, and pollination. We planted our own seeds in the classroom, created a pollination simulation, and tested different types of seed pods to learn how seeds travel.  We will continue to study plants over the next few weeks.

In math we finished our unit on division. We will be learning more about fractions in our second to last unit of the year!

In reading we completed a mini-unit on mysteries.  It was great to see so many students reading a genre they haven't read before.  We will be starting historical fiction book clubs this week.

Soft Tissues Needed :)
We are all out of soft tissues in our classroom and although I'm hoping we are over the winter sickness, I imagine allergies will be starting soon. The kids would so appreciate some soft tissues for the remainder of the school year.

That's all for now!

Kellie
